The Louisiana Center for
Equitable Development at Southern University (L-CED) is a
non-profit research and public policy think tank that
focuses on encouraging equitable development in the areas of
community and housing, economic development, education
reform, and health and wellness across the state of
Louisiana. Each of these areas is supported by three
sub-components: (a) Academic Support, (b) Outreach and
Support Services, and (c) Policy Research.

By
promoting stellar policy research in all these areas, L-CED
can serve as the state's database on equitable development
and policy implications, community development models, and
citizenry policy advocacy. Southern University's Nelson
Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs supports
L-CED in its vision of policy studies and analysis.
